A reader from the largest space agency in the world (and shall remain nameless) recently asked me if it would be useful to invite non-SharePoint personnel to the Governance and Taxonomy Workshop. Is the workshop still applicable to other document and content management technologies? Here is my reply...
The approach I take is “technology agnostic,” so it will benefit stakeholders outside the SharePoint community. One of my recent engagements involved the SharePoint team for their organization, as well as the Oracle and Google technology teams. The goal is to create a logical taxonomy that governs information management regardless where and how it is housed.
