Governance and Taxonomy Workshop - getting your project off to a good start

Here is another view of the deliverables we generate during the two-day Governance and Taxonomy Workshop.  It is a project management best practice to formally begin a new project, rather than just letting it happen on its own.  In order to effectively launch a project, the decision-makers need to have enough information about the project goals, requirements, and resources to make an intelligent go/no go decision. 

The Governance and Taxonomy Workshop guides your team through the creation of a decision package (also known as an initiation package) for your SharePoint project.  The deliverables of the workshop are found in the first column in the diagram below.
